Coffins & Caskets
Choosing a coffin can be a daunting task, we are here to assist you in the process of planning all aspects of the funeral. There are some options available to you.
Many families choose the veneered coffin with 3 pairs of brassed handles, artificial silk linings and engraved nameplate. But other options are available to you for those looking for a less traditional burial including woven caskets and other non-traditional options.
Crematoriums have specific health and safety requirements, and some items will not be able to be burned inside the casket. (Burials have fewer restrictions).
Types of Coffins & Caskets
Traditional Coffins
Perhaps what you most think of when picturing a coffin for a funeral service. Typically they come with handles for the pallbarers. You'll have the choice of wood or veneer, shape and finish.
Woven Coffins
Woven Coffins
Woven wicker coffins have risen in popularity over the last few years, with their biodegradable nature. Made with natural products, you have the option of different shapes and finishes.
Cardboard Coffins
Another popular alternative to wood is a cardboard coffin. Produced using a honeycomb material made from 100% recycled paper, making them extremely strong and biodegradable.
